US 24 runs up from I-70 at Minturn, down to Leadville, crossing over Tennessee Pass in the process. Camp Hale Campground is a ways off US 24 but is easily accessible on a good paved road. It would definitely be a good campground for motorcyclists touring Colorado.
Take the main Camp Hale turn-off at the view area and follow the road straight across the valley. When you reach the T intersection go right. There are 21 campsites and water, toilets, fire rings, picnic tables, and some shade.
