At
the east end of Telluride you will find the city-owned Telluride City Campground.
Nothing in town is closer to the soaring peaks that provide Telluride's backdrop
and downtown is just two blocks away. The roads are gravel and a bit rough but
it's a very short bit of riding to any of the sites.
Amenities include tables, grills, rest rooms with showers, lots of trees, and some sites are right on the creek. There are 28 vehicle sites ($16) as well as 5 primitive, walk-in sites ($12). The whole area is pretty rocky so you definitely need a good foam pad or air mattress.
