Just east of Grand Junction and Palisade along I-70 in the beautiful Debeque Canyon you'll find this very nice facility, well suited for bikers touring Colorado and inclined to camp out. All roads are paved and there are good flush toilets and showers, fire pits, picnic tables with shelters, and pretty much everything else you'll need. Fees vary; refer to the signs below. The campground is actually situated on an island in the middle of the river.
The downside of staying here is that, being so close to the interstate in the middle of this narrow canyon corridor, there is a lot of road noise all night long as well as the noise of frequent trains.
