South Mineral Campground is just a short distance outside of Silverton, along US 550 as it heads toward Ouray. You go in on a gravel road and the camping is in among the trees. There is rock everywhere so you better have a good foam pad or air mattress.
Although there are toilets provided, that's about it. Apparently there are supposed to be tables and fire pits but I didn't see any. There are 23 units altogether and there is no nightly fee.
